Projects
Things I’ve built.
A selection rather than a catalogue — the work that either taught me the most or is still running.
Now
HireDoc
An interview-based resume tool for software engineers who moved to Canada or the US. Instead of paraphrasing your existing resume, it interviews you to surface the impact you left out, then rebuilds your experience around it. Built and shipped solo, end to end — interview engine, generation, payments, and the free diagnostic quiz.
The two-lane playbook
An ongoing body of writing on senior engineering craft and the North American job search for engineers who moved here — drawn from 400+ resume reviews and 12+ years in the industry.
Product & platform work
Wave
Accounting and bookkeeping for small business owners. I worked on the money-in (invoicing) team and built the cross-platform mobile app that serves roughly a million users, alongside API optimization and monetization work.
VistaJet CMS
A highly customizable CMS for a private chartered jet airline, running their marketing campaigns and public site. Each React component was architected as an independently mountable app so marketers could drag it around a WYSIWYG editor — the most interesting constraint I’ve had to design around.
Livable
A property management portal built as three micro-frontends — one each for managers, tenants, and admins — with customizable listings, amenities, and automated online rent collection.
Discus
A platform connecting aspiring entrepreneurs with experienced industry professionals. Used the AWS Chime SDK for in-app video calling so nobody had to install anything to take a session.
Standard Chartered — Billing DB
An HR reporting tool with a UI-driven custom query builder, so non-technical staff could construct dynamic reports without SQL. Also built the XLSX parser that seeded millions of records into the database.
AirMed International
A membership app for an air ambulance provider. I built the shared custom controls the rest of the team worked with, plus native plugins exposed as CommonJS modules for cross-platform use.
Games
Where I started. Still the reason I default to building the thing rather than writing a doc about the thing.
Dolly’s Bookworm
A word puzzle game for book lovers. I built the achievement system and in-game store, and did a lot of the post-production polish, animation, and bug work.
SuperSib
An endless runner where I architected the whole game flow: dynamic terrain generation with randomized obstacle placement, player controller, audio and video controls, user state, and the in-game store.
Battleground
A complete revamp of an election strategy game — rewrote the single-player AI so the computer actually played well, and reworked the animations to make it feel alive.
Fruit Filch
An indie project with a team of three. I did a large share of the art and assets alongside the gameplay and design calls — the closest thing to founding something before I actually did.
